On behalf of the Latinos United For Education (L.U.F.E.) Club of Harry S. Truman College, I would like to extend a sincere thank you for the wonderful performance. The Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration would not have been such a success without your important participation. Latino and non-Latino students of Truman College had an opportunity to celebrate and learn more about the rich and diverse culture with the beauty of sound, music, and dance of Brazil. Everyone attending the event was impressed and I personally received numerous compliments on selecting such incredible entertainers. Truman students are still talking about it. They loved the great lively music and the interaction Passista's Samba Dance Group had with everyone. Without question, your performance enriched the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. I thank you and value not only your participation and time but your will to support events organized by college students who wish to celebrate their heritage and create a better understanding of the Latino culture. I appreciate the support you have devoted to Latinos United For Education (L.U.F.E.) Club and I look forward to including you in future celebrations.

What a delightful mix of Brazilian Bossa Nova and Samba as well as Latin American Bolero! The rhythmic music and gentle vocals of Luciano Antonio and Planeta Azul were a highlight of this year's dinner fundraiser. "High energy, beautiful and amazing!" These are the words that were used to describe the performance of Passistas Samba Dance Group. They not only demonstrated tremendous grace and skill, but were wonderful at involving the attendees of our family event. At one point in the evening just about everyone, young and old, was on the dance floor learning samba dance steps!

I met Luciano several years ago at a club called rhythm and was impressed by his musicianship and more importantly the way he related to the crowd. So, when my wife and I were planning our wedding and making decisions about the entertainment, there was only one choice in my mind and that was the Brazilian Jazz Guy. He invited me to his home so that we could talk about song choices and arrangements for our ceremony. With his guitar at hand, he played many arrangements of tunes from his repetoire and I could tell straight away that this would be a special night. Luciano even arranged a piece for me to serenade my wife. Every song at our wedding was beautifully played from Pachelbel's Canon to Aquarela do Brasil. For our first dance, Luciano and the band played an arrangement of Milonga Triste that was almost other worldly. My wife Gail and I could have danced for hours. Luciano kept things going with the bossa and samba rhythms for the entire night. Thanks by the way for playing Mas que nada and Blue Bossa. Thanks for treating me and Gail like old friends. If you are looking for a musician to play for any event, look no further. Luciano is the best!!!

"We wanted the music at our wedding to be beautiful and contemplative. We had heard Luciano play guitar at our son's wedding, and we knew it was just what we wanted, too. We told Luciano what we had in mind, and he shared his ideas on what would work. We couldn't have been more pleased. He even ended up singing on the Processional...it was very moving. We were thrilled with the music that Luciano provided at our wedding, and our son's wedding, and we recommend him very highly. I am a professional musician, and I have played for hundreds of weddings, and I felt that the music he provided was just outstanding."

My husband and I met Luciano at a small cafe in the West Loop one Saturday evening. We were so impressed by his musical talent that we asked him to perform at our Wedding reception that upcoming Fall. When he and his band began to play at our reception, we could not have been more pleased! The music was EXACTLY what we wanted and it was so fantastic! All of our guests enjoyed the mix of Jazz and Samba they heard that evening; everyone was up and moving! Even a month after our reception, I still have guests emailing me and asking me where they can buy a CD of Luciano's! What was most special to my husband and I that evening is the song we danced to. We had asked Luciano if he could re-make a version of our favorite song and he did so and exceeded all our expectations. The song he re-created was so beautiful and magical it made our dance a moment we will never forget. In fact, the song he re-created was better than the real version of the song! If anyone is looking for great entertainment for a Wedding, a party, or any event, I hightly reccommend Luciano. He is extraordinarily talented and will exceed your expectations!

Luciano was the guitarist at our July 2011 wedding, and he made our
day such a wonderful experience. We are big fans of Brazilian music,
and Luciano was so knowledgeable and accommodating with our requests,
from our first consultation right up to the wedding. He even learned a
special arrangement of a song for our wedding march, which sounded
better than the original! Every step of the process, Luciano was
wonderful to work with. But not only is Luciano a great person, but he
is a fantastic performer and artist. Luciano played solo during our
ceremony and for our reception, alongside two percussionists, Felipe
Fraga and Geraldo de Oliveira. The wonderful music at both venues set
the tone for the wedding perfectly. Guests are still commenting on the
music months later. Thank you, Luciano, for helping to make our big
day so special!

You have no idea how excited I was that you guys were there to play for us on such a special day. I have loved your music since I heard you guys many years ago. And just so you know, everyone loved the music, even people who had never heard you or any type of Brazilian music. They were so impressed. Thanks again for making our day extra memorable!!!

We want to thank you for your amazing performance at our wedding reception! All of our guests were so impressed with your performance, and my husband and I absolutely loved hearing your sweet voice echo throughout the Adler Planetarium! And when you sang "Cheek to Cheek" in English and in Portuguese, it was the most magical moment for my father and I, during the father-daughter dance. He was very surprised, and it really meant a lot to us for you to sing it in Portuguese and with our favorite Brazilian bossa nova beat. You made our wedding so memorable and we are very grateful to you! Muito obregado!
Sincerely,

We hired Luciano to play guitar for our ceremony, held inside a church, then he continued to play for the cocktail hour next door during our garden reception. He was incredible.

During the church service, Luciano played a very beautiful song (“Lagrima”) for the communion portion of the ceremony. It set the mood nicely. The highlight, though, was his playing of “Al Otro Lado del Rio,” which we dedicated to my mother, who had passed. We had the lyrics translated into English for the church program, although half of our guests were fluent in Spanish. It was an incredibly poignant moment in the ceremony, and we will cherish it forever. Our guests could not say enough kind things about Luciano’s delicate handling of these songs, which blended in so nicely with the service, which incorporated our American and Mexican cultural and religious traditions.

Unfortunately, we did not get to hear too many of Luciano’s songs during the cocktail hour, because we were too busy taking pictures at the church. However, the guests had very positive things to say about Luciano’s singing, and his diverse and unique song choices. My wife, Olivia, is from Mexico, and I am from Wisconsin. Luciano was successfully able to please our diverse group of wedding guests. He deftly bridged the gap between the two cultures, and made our wedding very special. I would highly recommend Luciano to anyone.

As a big fan of your bossa nova and samba band for many years now, we finally had our chance to incorporate a piece of brazil with an important event in our lives. We wanted an intimate wedding ceremony with only our closest family and friends and you helped us achieve this... what's more romantic than a man with a guitar? You've brought your years of experience into the overall process, in helping us select music, coming up with your own ideas as well in helping us to create a very personalized and touching ceremony. The music I walked down the aisle to, made me cry, and those who witnessed as well.

You have a way of making your guitar sing ~ and we're very happy you were a part of our day.
